No big village, just small outposts where Hau’oli City, Konikoni City, & Po Town eventually are, no outpost on Poni because of the terrain. Most of the interesting “home base” content would be on the ship but maybe you can upgrade them to have a few interesting buildings.
You go around catching Alola Pokemon pissing off the local tribes who tell you youre tempting fate and eventually Necrozma (when they talk about these events in USUM he’s either Dawn Wings or Dusk Mane depending on the game, i dunno how theyd fix that but maybe you get a choice of either saving Lunala or Solgaleo from Necrozma.) He steals the regions light and you have to seek out the 4 Tapus, who don’t like you because you and your crew have been catching Pokemon and cutting trees to build outposts, and prove yourself to them in the first “Island Trials.” You then fight Ultra Necrozma at the end in a raid-style battle with all 4 Tapus.
