>>48964472>Tate and LizaFeels weird including a gym as a footnote, but this went very smoothly. Double battle naturally, but they fight in Inverse Battle mechanics. They also try to use Trick Room to benefit mons like Mega Slowbro or Reuniclus.
The downside to that is that their team is very slow. I lead Shiinotic and Lurantis on their lead Claydol and Slowbro, put Slowbro to sweep, then Lurantis surprisingly takes out their entire team with Superpowers and Returns. Pretty impressive.
>TabithaTeam - Gigalith, Darmanitan, Gastrodon, Excadrill, Gliscor, Mega Steelix. Again, very smooth fight.
Tsareena is my lead of choice here, Captivating Gigalith as it sets rocks, then as predicted he swaps out to Darm as I Rapid Spin them away, and thanks to Rapid Spin's speed boost I can outspeed and kill this Scarfed Darmanitan. But then, bizarrely he swaps to Steelix on HJK to die, goes back to Darm, then swaps Excadrill to take a heavy hit.
Weird AI, but I basically neutered his big threats. Killed Excadrill by pivoting to Ninetales for Hail, Kommo-o then set up Shell Smashes in Darm's face and soloed the rest of his team.
>Mossdeep Maxie/CourtneyThis annoyed me. I used Palossand to remove the sun that helps out these two, but Maxie's lead Victreebel still outsped my mons and could freely abuse Sleep Powder. Wouldn't normally be an issue, I focused on killing Courtney's side of the team when I could, but Steven decided instead of killing Courtney's monster Mega Houndoom to take out Victreebel instead leading to Maxie's Mega Camerupt coming out while my Lycanroc was asleep. Between Palossand, Bewear and Lycanroc...well, Lycanroc was more useful than I thought he'd be, but he doesn't offer the utility of the other two. Sorry buddy.
Rest of the fight went fine, at least.
