I'd probably leave that up to fate encounters apart from a Noctowl and a Crobat. I always liked the idea from the anime that some Pokemon would want to travel with you of their own accord.

Right outside Goldenrod. Enough people to make a ton of friends, and quick access to the Ilex Forest to the south, and Ecruteak to the north. I grew up in a suburb outside a city with a lot of forests, so pretty on point there.

I'd imagine it'd be a Hoothoot from Ilex while I was exploring around close to dusk as a kid.
>Tell us your interests/hobbies in the real world, and how would it reflect on your way of life in the pokemon world?
I'm big on hiking and work in cartography, so my way of life would involve a lot of adventures and mapping. A Smeargle could help with this a ton.
>Would you have a goal, if so what would it be?
In my younger age, I'd want to travel around doing the League challenge with friends and visiting all the towns in the Johto region. At the age I'm at now, I would ideally want to be heading out on expeditions to pretty uncharted territory in search of legends (not legendaries necessarily) and myths. I've always liked places like Forina from the Jirachi movie, and northern Kanto from the Lucario movie as unexplored places that hold a lot of mystery. I'd love to chart it all out. My team would probably be oriented towards a ton of utility Pokemon, and of course Crobat and Noctowl are great at night vision and navigation already.
