Yep, why would anyone think the game was even remotely similar to what it was back in 2018? It's not like Niantic is constantly recycling Pokémon and their stats to allow for people to chase after the things they used to chase after in the past, except now they give more XP, give bigger resources and give Pokémon with bigger stats.
...God I wish I could be interested in literally anything else. I'm so sick of only caring about this "forever game". At least literal gambling has an economic endpoint eventually.
