>>35461881Terrible, I that it's turned out like this. I love Pokemon, I ADORE Pokemon, but as long as Gamefreak is running the series I'll likely never be as into it as I used to be when I was younger.
I'm hoping the changing tides at Nintendo will aid in GF getting their shit together, but they're still a 2nd party company and I doubt Masuda is going anywhere anytime soon so I have next to no hope for Pokemon Switch.
Pokemon is the most profitable multimedia franchise in history and yet the dev studio is tiny, lazy and is actively driving older fans away, but despite all their mistakes, they'll never suffer for them because people will just buy buy buy anything with Pokemon on the title, it doesn't matter if /vp/ as a whole fucking hates it, we (read: our money) has already been replaced. There's really nothing we can do but find a new series to support, and only talk about Pokemon while not actually giving it money. Maybe if enough people do it, we'll see some change, but I'm not very hopeful.
At least Splatoon hasn't let me down, based Nogami.
