Second time I knew every Gym leader has six Pokémon, and I prepared accordingly. I breezed through Brock, Misty posed more of a challenge, and Surge was the first one to actually scare my shit when his Manectric almost killed Mushie with Firethrower, pic related.
I know sooner or later I'm going to lose one of my Mons to some Gym leader, but I will train hard (unless I get bored and go suicide style).
