I wanted to provide something for those more interested in photos than my words. it doesn't rattle me. For those saying they just play Platinum. Sure, that's fine, but we both know you shouldn't have to. The general consensus is that remakes usually provide a more convenient experience than their originals. I prefer FRLG, mostly because of how fast-paced Gen3 battles are compared to LGPE, but I have to go without a lot of QoL things. It's an exchange I'm very willing to make. HGSS is generally considered to be the best remake of the franchise. I'm not trying to make this a what's the best remake thread, I'm trying to get opinions on why Sinnoh didn't get the better remake it deserved, and how fans cope. ORAS is usually more debated, but I personally believe it is equally matched with Emerald. It lacks the beloved Frontier, but what it makes up for with the Dexnav, PSS system, Megas, reusable TMs, and other QoL mechanics makes me at least appreciate that it exists at the least. If I reached for a Gen3 game and picked up either ORAS or Emerald I'd be equally pleased. I don't believe one is better than the other, but I do believe they're "good games." I sadly feel like Sinnoh didn't get a remake at all. It got Hisui, and that leads to my other point that Sara made. Hisui =/= Sinnoh. Arezu, my wife, my beloved, is not Mars. Cogita is not Cynthia, Akari is not Dawn, Rei is not Lucas, etc. These are ancestors, or as I like to call them look a likes, because it's stupid that unnatural hair color is now hereditary, but again not the point of what I'm saying. I'm saying that PLA, while I love it. It will never grant me the true Sinnoh experience, and should not be the excuse of BDSP, it SHOULD NOT BE the exception, the concellation prize, or anything.
