>>41180285There's a Korean slur for Japanese, "jokpari." It was considered a very offensive slur for generations and still is to this day. It means "cloven hoof" because Japanese wore those sandals that had the string in them to stay on your foot, which meant their socks had to have the big toe separated, making it look like they had hooves. Koreans wore regular socks because they had regular sandals that enclosed the front of the foot. As a result Koreans believed that Japanese were inferior, because they could not create a complete shoe.
They have been fighting for hundreds of years over a fucking shoe design.
