middle stage kinda mid... well it be fair thats most middle evos in general
color skemes a bit loud but again thats a problem with electric types in general play around with making it black or brown see where it gets you.
The dot eyes on the big one are something you dont see a lot on final evos.

Its okay however the typing might be great defensively but its a middling offensive typing. The typing's pokemon also have a lot of overlap like 3/5 are water absorbing walls granted they do so in slightly different ways and Quagsire is mostly runs unaware.

As well as being the best type seems like a lot of Steel types are just perfect minmaxed beasts with all the moves they could want Ferrothorn, Celesteela, Kartana, Excadrill, Scizor, Heatran etc.. Compared to say rock and ice whose typings are best used on fast attackers but rarely do we see such attackers also just influx of a fuck ton of legendary/mythical steels dont help compared to other typings that never see a 600BST like bug or rock. Any type can be good given the right tools but steel seems to always be given those tools.

They were fine back in the day, every gen had its winners and losers but yeah powercreep has left the majority of gen 3 in the dust. Even titans of their time like Metagross Claydol and Flygon have fallen to UU, RU and beyond and a new move once every few gens cant help them. They would need a mega evolutions worth of stat buffs or great new ability ala Pelliper's drizzle. Even then a good mega gets you in UU if youre lucky. Doesn't help gen 3 is riddled with slow frail mixed attackers and gimmick mons. All this is compounded by the facts those gimmick mons are doubled by their version exclusive counterpart ala Zangoose/Seviper, Lunatone/Solrock and Plusle/Minun etc...
