As far as the rematch feature go, the impression got significantly weaker since the main attraction of the room appears to be the vast quantity of pokéballs that Oak is presenting, the rematch phone is tucked away in the corner of the room, the leaders are simply chosen from a list and then have no dialogue before battling, and then having the initiate battle animation taking place in the same room you're still standing in. It really doesn't have much of an impact despite being a feature that would be well received overall.
I assume this is still early in the progress and that you were likely to adress each issue I named above, but overall, having some simple dialogue for each leader and having both of you entering a battle room (much like battle tower) would help setting the mood instead of just: push button, get battle.
