>>43306267I never said that there were good pokemon games and I don’t even think that the op necessarily implied that there were. But if you’re still waiting for an answer I’d say gen 1 for being an original fresh idea and gen 2 for being an actual sequel. While the games didn’t technically raise the bar in terms of design or quality, I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt for innovation. After those two everything was more or less a remake or remix with a new coat of paint. It’s hard not to be cynical about a series that’s been behind the curve for nearly 20 years.
