>>31112129 that, while badass, really misses the point of what makes the series so enjoyable in the first place. A lot of us like the very carefree and overall uplifting atmosphere of the series, and flipping it on its head aesthetically like that would really kill it in that respect.
Besides, the existing animated style isn't really limiting at all from a graphical standpoint, even the existing models don't look bad at all with some tweaks and better textures.
Hell, I'd be very happy with a game that just has GO-tier graphics but a much more detailed environment and a world that feels actually alive. Gameplay and worldbuilding is the direction the series should be venturing now, not just graphically.
