>Mega evolutionsThose are alternate forms. If I counted Giratina's new forms, Platinum would've introduced more Pokemon. For all intents and purposes, Mega Evolutions aren't new Pokemon, which means that there's only 72 new Pokemon, the least amount of Pokemon yet.
And to counter the second half of that, we odn't count Kyreum or Deoyxs' multiple forms as separate Pokemon despite having different stats, and in the case of the latter, movepools, and typings. Why should Megas count?
>Low quality new PokemonI don't know a single person that said they liked Pyroar or Floette and wasn't fucking with me, and my friend group is large enough that there is plenty of different opinions. Meanwhile, I have people like Vanilluxe or Comfey. Not exactly a good look. I also remember this board PANNING the new designs, but it seems that sentiment has died down over the years.

I'm not saying there's particularly more or less than previous generations, I'm saying I expected better out of Gamefreak and outside of a weird glitch I had once in Gen 5, I haven't encountered anything as often as those bugs.
>Save corruptionThank you for holding this standard. Save corruption bugs like that shouldn't have occurred. I couldn't even play the rest of the game as a result of that bug and all of my motivation was gone once all of my work got corrupted, so I watched a friend play it instead.
