We're talking about a thread from an age when 4chan just wasn't archived in the way it is now, and a thread that hasn't become notorious for any reason despite the cool subject matter. Good threads happen all the time on this site amidst the sea of shit, and most of the time nothing remains of them after a day or two outside of maybe some scraped archive which may or may not lose its host at some point.
