They're introducing Not-Mega Evolutions to get around the continuity error of Hoenn having a bunch of Mega Evolutions Kalos doesn't have tons of years later when Mega Evolution is supposed to be exclusive to Kalos. Instead of a double helix and DNA motif, they have a Greek alphabet motif. There'll be twenty-four new Mega Evolutions like this, one for each letter, and the first two we know of are Alpha Kyogre and Omega Groudon.
It's gonna be called Advance Evolution.
