>>21150748Guess I could start with how we decided what version she wanted to play. By her request she wanted to actually 'start at the very beginning', so I gave her the option between playing Blue or Red. Well her favorite color is blue, so it wasn't that hard for her to figure out, however, she wouldn't listen to me whenever I told here there were exclusive Pokemon in the games. A common conversation we'd have would look something like this:
>Sister sees an Oddish>"I want that Jonathan!">"But you're in blue version">"Oh, I'm playing the blue level?"She would then just ask when she was going to get to the 'red level' all the time as well afterwards. It was kind of adorable, albeit a bit annoying.
She actually picked her first starter, Squirtle, in the same way.
>"So remember, you can only pick one.">She nods her head and starts looking them over>"I don't like plants, they give me poison ivy..">she'd then walk over to Charmander >"Eww it's ugly!" >She'd then pick Squirtle>"Whatthe! It's like the bestest blue ever! I want this one, I'll call it Sam! She'll be my bestest friend ever!"
