>>56232573Two different articles you stupid cunt. I was sourcing where Masuda's explanation of the set-up came from.
>https://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2017/12/31/the-history-of-pokemon.aspxBut while I'm here, please explain why Nintendo funded RG, Blue, Yellow, GS, Crystal AND RS before TPC even got founded by Iwata, if Game Freak "had their own money to make the games"? When Nintendo are the company that earns the MOST profits from any single Gen of Pokémon, due to publisher's fees, TPC profits and of course, the fact to even play the fucking games, you need to buy one their systems, which ends up being 100% Nintendo profit, driven by Pokémon (BDSP doubled the weekly Switch sales in Japan when it launched in '21).
Game Freak are a development studio, not a publishing company. Which means they don't stick their own money in to make their projects, unless it's a specific Gear Project undertaking to better the studio or dev staff in some fashion (Turner went and set up his own studio after getting two Gear Project games greenlit, showing that the lessons he'd learned developing Harmoknight and Tembo ulitmately gave him the confidence to strike out alone). That's what Nintendo is for, given they're invested in having wide-reaching IP's and games on their own hardware outputs.
>>56232608 Funny, it's the pajeets who think TPC are more important than just being the bitch bottom boys of their parent companies. Must be because they have the call centre contracts and are trying to make themselves seem like they're actually relevant to the brand.
