I full understand Silver being distressed because the only male role model in his life is walking out on him, but doing a complete 180 and resenting Giovanni for wanting to train so that he can come back a better, more reliable leader just didn't feel organic in the slightest. It feels like Silver just spontaneously turns on him, when he should have been more supportive of his endeavors. Obviously GF didn't think this far ahead when they decided to make this kid Giovanni's son, but I feel like they could have retconned some things or handled it better.
