Base Charizard can also tank one Dragon Claw from an Adamant Mega Zard X, which Leon's Charizard did.
Regular Zard and Mega Zard X also have the same base speed, so I guess Alain's Zard X has shitty speed, which is why Leon's Zard was able to move twice and land two hits.
