Fans like different types of terrain and weather. So Europe, North America and some Northern Asian countries fit that.
Secondly. America is ticked off the list and was fairly unpopular. Germany would be too similar to Kalos and Galar.
So Europe candidates are Spain I’d say. Spanish is a huge global language and therefore audience. Culturally distinct. Diverse terrain. It would be ahead of any other European country.
I’d put Canada as a maybe. But the likely two are: China, as Gamefreak continues to grow its market there. Or back to Japan.
My wildcard is New Zealand. It’s diverse in people and land, it’s a part of a new continent for the games to be based on.
