Even though he had a person that he was seemingly extremely close with, he’s incapable of truly forming human relationships. He murdered her partially to see if he would feel something, and he didn’t. A lot people might be tempted to write a sociopath magically developing empathy with the power of true love or something, but ASPD has no cure, they can only learn how to conform to society better.
