Mind you, the right half is supposed to be barren, since you would likely not have anything with you yet (and there'd be someone, or something blocking the ledge. Maybe a wild Pokemon sleeping, or something...)
One way out would lead to another place, the other leads back to town, to a TM or other valuable stuff.
still no plans on making this an actual game, though.
