Managed to generally go through Brock unopposed... mostly. Noki ate all of Brock's Kraft for dinner without even taking a hit, and Ted & Co just sat in front of both of his pokémon and growled while they slowly died to Leech Seed. I forgot about Yellow's level changes, and also about NidoranM's learning Double Kick early in it. Compounded made Greg able to solo Brock, Bobby not even needed, although I even swapped him and Brady in to spread exp.
Mein Fuhrer however had troubles dealing with the Brockster. I also forgot Butterfree didn't immediately get Confusion, so suddenly I had a shitty entomologist with nothing but Harden. This left the battle strategy to attempting to poison/burn and stalling them out like SamHyde, which also failed when Horion failed to poison even once. I also forgot Brock has infinite Full Heals, so when Adolf got the burn several times only to get instantaneously healed, I realized I could be in trouble. Geodude died to Ember anyway, but Onix managed to outspeed Adolf, so it became a game of chicken trying to guess when he was going to Tackle, since Screech forced me to swap to either Shrader or Bubi to remove the debuff, and I couldn't kill it fast enough via Ember to chance brute forcing through Bide. One scary misprediction left Adolf in red, but eventually I got it weak enough to spam through before it could get a bullshit crit.
Moving on, I'm likely to be a lot more stingy with my catches, since math works out that my future FRLG runs are going to start *rough* due to my rampant catching. On to Mt. Moon...
