I love the Emerald design for May. I know it's very similar to RS because it's the same era but for me, this outfit is May's peak. Sadly it doesn't get as much love as her other looks. The green bandana and bag look really good on her, and make a nice contrast with the red-orange vest. Black spats and silver Poke Ball emblems make it very sleek compared to RS. I like the color scheme better than the red-navy of the original outfit, which also has that huge collar for no reason. I also like the reworking of her gloves. It isn't as dramatic a change as Brendan but I think they were both for the better.
Also, her hair is a little bit shorter than in RS, or at least it's not drawn extending as far to the sides as in RS, so it's a bit more natural.
Compared to ORAS May looks older in Gen 3 and the outfit in both RS and E look like actual adventuring gear instead of whatever she threw on that morning. That said, I liked that ORAS kept some green on the bag and the black spats.
