Since the 1st anniversary, dev focus seems to be almost entirely put on g*l*r "hype" chasing to maximize revenue: see Prestige + the aberration that was the 1.5y celebration with back-to-back gen8 events (while Iris and Diantha were treated like fifth wheel) + unreleased gen8 character polls + Dynamax allegedly soon as well.
I think the worst part is that it feels like DeNA has this game in borderline autopilot. Updates are slow as fuck, events remain as short as on day 1, dev letters are basically news bulletins, they showed us the middle finger when we asked them to remove stamina, etc.
