N's whole dilemma. He's a really popular character, but I don't think I ever quite connected with the story. He grows up in the woods, learns how to "talk" with Pokemon, and tries to liberate them from what he believes is oppression. Ok, so he has a good angle. But then everyone just hand-waves the debate. "Pokemon are our friends!" "Pokemon like fighting!". etc. His own caretakers even tell you that he's wrong and deluded himself for 18 years. Just feels like they opened this ugly can of worms with that story, but didn't want to actually challenge anything in the end.
