https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Bq_tYRBzdgA couple of days ago, I heard this for the first time since I played Platinum back in '09 or whenever the game came out, and felt an incredibly strong rush of emotion. I can't even remember the last a song caused tears to roll down my face, this might even be the first time.
It's also weird to me because I started with Sapphire back in early '05, but this is the track that got me all nostalgic and happy over Pokemon again. After years of indifference to the franchise, I just went through and finished Emerald in two days. Tomorrow I'm moving onto Platinum, and now I'm seriously considering hacking my Switch for when I eventually want to play Sword/Shield.
