>>49079011Ok I look into these schizo threads quite a bit and despite my biases against this choice I will sum it up to my best abilities.
Basically what they mean by uncompetitive is "stacking random odds in your favor in a way that's deceptive to your opponent".
Basically what I think they mean is:
>The attacker and defender will always know Ice Beam will have a 10% chance to freeze>The attacker and defender know Serene Grace Jirachi will flinch with Headbutt 60% of the time.>The attacker and defender know Scald will burn 30% of the time>The attacker and defender know Stone Edge has an 80% accuracyBut you throw these items/abilities into the mix
>The attacker doesn't know and can't adapt to the inconsistency of Brightpower or these Abilities making their 100% acc moves miss.>The defender doesn't know that one of the opponent's non-Flinching attacks may cause a flinch cuz King's Rock.Similar to what
>>49079092 said: It undermines the player's input and feedback cuz it's throwing on another layer of RNG that is always stacked in one player's favor, even if minimally, and can end up winning a game off of one good proc of this rng. Thus why it's "uncompetitive".
I disagree with the decision cuz these things have been around for over a decade and only cause trouble in the most EXTREME situations such as Cloyster in BW where options against it were much lesser, but I get what they are saying in a vacuum.
