>>46738182I think you're equating pokemon to literal animals on some level in the back of your mind if you're saying that anon. Pokemon have wants, needs and display intelligence just like we do. The same can apply to hygiene, with many pokemon preferring/liking to be clean and cute, and I think most type of pokemon barring ones that like less than ideal conditions or for reasons relating to its type/body would like to always be at their best for you, much like you would for them.
