To be fair, Pokemon was always going to draw in younger/underage folks to a place like /vp/, and it's people from younger age groups that are more likely to be influenced by and latch onto internet memes, either because they genuinely find them hilarious or desperately want to fit in.
As for me, I don't like Honchkrow simply because Murkrow was a better design, and going from a witch to a mafia don was just too jarring.
