The base automation was easily my favorite part of the game. It let me enjoy seeing my Pals contribute and defend the base, and it let me actually go out and do shit instead of bogging myself down for literal hours doing base maintenance.

It was pretty close with gen 5, tapered off with 6, then went full-tilt with 7 and it's been downhill ever since.
You literally cannot distinguish fanfiction with canon anymore.

The first few instances of him obsessing over malasadas was funny at first.

At the end of the day it's bullshit that the writers for vidya are incompetent as ass. They elect to choose particular words because they're "easy to read" but at the same time "not to broad" for Pokemon like it fucking matters.

Scale Shot is learned by all the fish, even ones without scales? Nearly any Ghost type gets Poltergeist even though ones like A-Marowak aren't actually ghosts? And then every new move has to have some insane base power or gimmick, none of them interesting or game changing...they just break the same broken mons even more. I know this is prime autism talking here but come the fuck on. Bad enough they're giving shit out like Power Whip Gyarados now. Might as well just have everyone learn every move of their type and all the OU staples at this point. What a garbage over centralized and unimaginative meta when it comes to moves man.

No other Pokemon will have Dancer or learn Revolution Dance (except as an obscure MT move nobody knows about). No other Pokemon will change forms based on dance styles. Nectar will eventually stop appearing in future games, locking this mon's form changes in Gen 7. And we will never get a Pokemon based on just one of the four dancing styles ever again, bc Oricorio "already did a cheerleader please understand."

I don't hate Oricorio, but I hate what it represents
