It also occurred to me earlier that I'll probably need to keep Skiploom unevolved until Level 36 so that it can learn fucking Mega Drain in time for the Pokémon League.
Also, I just remembered something useful for anyone who's in Kanto: there's Leftovers in the trash can in the restaurant in Celadon City, so you can have two Leftovers if you catch/Thief the wild Snorlax as well.
