>>56868548I'd have to disagree, at least subjectively. I've built numerous Pokémon for the Frontiers in both Emerald and Platinum as part of my Ribbon Master Challenge. Skipped IVs but Nature, EVs, moveset, and leveling don't take that long. Maybe a week or two if I'm playing half an hour a day, if that. I even obtained a legit Lucky Egg in both games.
It honestly felt the most rewarding, because I spent that time focusing on one mon and developing an attachment to them. Compared to SWSH or SV, where EXP candies, Ability items, and Mints are the quickest method of building a Pokémon, it always felt less rewarding because of how much less effort is required.
