>I've noticed on numerous occasions that more often than not, Calem waits until the very last minute to do research he could have been doing hours ago. Even if it means doing that research in the middle of a battle.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWYDMIb-YPk>Talonflame is absorbing sunlight!"He knows DRAGON PULSE!? THAT COULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL FIVE MINUTES AGO!"
If the Pokedex could shrug, it would.
The only move powerful enough to counter that Solarbeam is a move that Skrelp has never before used, but there's no shame in trying it. The difficult part about it is whether or not he can control it though.
"Skrelp!...Uh, Dragon Pulse!"
Skrelp's receives a jolt of anxiety at the command, but he doesn't want to let you down. Sucking in all of his energy, he lets out a shockwave of pulsing draconic energy from his duckface mouth.
Talonflame releases his Solarbeam moments afterward, both beams heading into each other for a nasty collision.
As soon as they hit each other, a tug-o-war battle begins between both beams. The victor of the battle now settles down to "Which beam will overcome the other?" rather than simply "Who can kick each other's behind first?"
At first, Dragon Pulse prevails, but then Solarbeam knocks it back. Then, it seems like Solarbeam is going to get the upperhand, only for Dragon Pulse to reel back and knock it back into a stalemate.
