>Generation one
Overrated nostalgiafags game of choice. The concept paved the way for later games, and I highly appreciate it, but to play it now is cancer.
>Generation two
Was merely an expanded remake of Gen 1, but the graphics leveled up. Why do you still play this?
>Generation three
A brilliant step forward from Gen 1-2. All mechanics got an overhaul and the visual details of the game were fantastic. Best of all, you can transfer pokemon from this generation forward.
>Generation 4
/Really/ rough start with D/P/P, but Heartgold/Soulsilver took it away with a bang. Some nice fixes to battle, the Pokemon were OK too. I still fucking love that Pokewalker.
>Generation 5
If you can look past the fact that the Pokemon were aesthetically crap, you'll find that they were a great add to the competitive scene. The story was amazing, and once again leveled up in terms of the general game.
>Generation 6
Seriously, what the fuck? The only thing I can redeem about this is the introduction of Mega's, amazingly quick game-saves, the character customization, and the graphical level-up. The pokemon are absolute autism. No, the Primal Forms are not a good idea.
>Generation 7
The blight of the franchise grew into this absolute cancer. The Pokemon look like enemies from Power Rangers or some shit. They don't even like like Pokemon anymore. THERE IS NOTHING REDEEMABLE ABOUT SUN AND MOON.
