/vp/ used to have real discussion, /vp/ used to have fun, /vp/ used to trade and battle and game together, and /vp/ used to have hype seasons. Genwunners were routinely mocked, genwars often shunned, future games were once looked forward to, and mentioning the DS games (especially Gen 5) didn't immediately get threads spammed to death by the same 5 trolls. Fan theories were shared, fangames were posted, fan content discussed, and it didn't all get shut down by the very same trolls who get angry and spam "fanfic [subject]!" whenever something that isn't official is even implied. (e.g. XYSider)
This board used to be worth visiting.
