>>50015341>And it's false because you don't need bank to complete the national dex in XY/ORAS, as those games have all the Pokemon available in it between the two.Gen 6 is actually unique in that regard since it's the only Gen apart from Gen 1 where one can complete the National Dex (excluding Mythicals, which aren't even needed for the Nat Dex Diploma anyway) without acquiring a spin-off game, attending an event. or transferring Pokemon in from a prior Generation. In Gen 3 you needed Colosseum and XD to get Ho-Oh and Lugia and in Gen 4 you needed the event Movie Regigigas to unlock the Regis in Platinum.
Gen 6 is unique in that you can transfer Pokemon in from a previous Gen if you want, but you don't need to transfer from a previous Gen game in order to complete the Dex. So it's good for people who've built up a collection, since they don't get screwed over like they did in the Gen 2 to Gen 3 transition and it's also good for newcomers as it makes Dex completion much more practical and less daunting since they need only four games rather than ten or more. How exactly is this a bad thing again?
