Emu + Sturt's Desert Pea. I did submit a more duck like Pea mon probably a year ago but I think I'm happier with this idea.
Because both my tablet and scanner are out of action I've done a shitty trackpad paint drawing to show what I'm trying to achieve.
Basically the chick (Chikpea) hides inside a SDP plant and uses it as camouflage, and then the evolved form has taken traits of the plant in its body, with head feathers resembling the flower and the body (which typically on emus is brown/grey) is all leafy.
If there are any artists about who'd like to do another take on it, please do.
