I think it's kinda pointless that some legendaries don't have genders; it's not like GF would allow us to breed them at the poke daycare anyway. Outside of erasing the chance of autist fanboys raging at having a female or male legendary, there isn't really a point in having most of them be genderless when it's implied that mews can be fertilized and give birth back in gen one.
