>>55299923Personally for me, guns fucking kill the setting for me. Pokemon is supposed to be an idealistic hopeful world where humans and pokemon come together to accomplish their dreams. Putting a modern gun up next to the Pokeball is just a complete tonal whiplash.
It would be better if guns are designed to be as cartoonish as the rest of the setting. Have them shoot pokemon attacks instead of bullets. Police have 'web bullets' made out of string shot material to subdue criminals and 'sleep bullets' made out of sleep powder.
