The reason of the short reunion was simply because they didn't want them to interact within the episode that was supposed to help Koharu with her development as a character, any kind of interaction or hint towards amour would have completely shifted the focus of the episode itself, which is immediately proved when everyone after the episode ended was talking and spamming the reunion at the end and didn't give a shit about anything else, now imagine if they actually made Serana interact with Ash, nobody would ever have remember Koharu or Gou were even there.
If Serena returns again and meet Ash/Bonnie&Clemont the only thing they will do is to make Bonnie tease Serena with the kiss or whatever, she will blush, Ash will be absolutely dense about it and Clemont will try to stop Bonnie, after that they will all share a laugh and that's it.
