It has great Sp. Atk and Sp. Def, but because of its' average HP and Speed, it can't survive competitive battles without outside help(baton pass.) Plus, its' male counterpart, Gallade, outmatches it with critical happy moves (Night Slash, Leaf Blade, Psycho Cut), and just better overall coverage. I hope that thanks to GF for giving it Fairy type in Gen VI, it will be a better fighter(or at least equal to Gallade.)

Despite being a great pokemon with awesome Atk and solid Speed, its' moveset is very limited, thus predictable and easy to counter.
