He replaced the Elite 4 with very cringey OCs and made himself champion, they have shinies and nicknames on their pokemon too. The walking pokemon sprites are a mixed bag, Slowking is practically just a head here. The game doesn't have much to do besides gyms and collecting pokemon.
However I will say Crystal Clear is very good for collecting Kanto and Johto pokemon. It's so easy to grind pokemon and evolve them. Shiny hunting is easy too. That just might be enough to redeem the game for some. But I will reiterate that Crystal Clear has a lot of bullshit to it.
I mean I am black myself but it's just such a weird change to make to your game. Imagine looking at Pokemon Crystal and thinking "this needs diversity!".
