Just a speculation but I'd also advice to pick up a copy or two of pic related. It's only going to get better as we get more prism cards and it's already in top japanese decklists.
I got mines for 1 GRI each.

They should build an entire new online game, give it a proper single player campaign, make it free and then advertise it on PC, android and Switch
>Story mode with gyms and Team Rocket using only cards from the base set reprint
>Once you beat it you receive a ton of rewards to get you started in PVP
Since the online game is basically just an advertisement for the physical TCG they can ignore monetization and focus on making a great experience that will drive players to buy boosters
