Silver is a MIGHT IS RIGHT asshole who gets taught a lesson, Gladion is nice kid who is trying to lie low and got into a life of crime to survive due being to moral to stand by letting Pokémon suffer and acting tough because that is what he had to become when he had a MegaCorp with good PR after him (to his knowledge) and dealing with thugs.
