Has anyone considered it's supposed to be a mock animal? the glowing on it's chest could be it's real eyes, and the rest is camouflage to hide from enemies. I think it sounds plausible, and makes it seems like a better design all around. while I agree it should be flipped, I think GF knows what they are doing when they design Pokemon. except maybe like muk and pidove.
