I'll get shit for this, but they don't give every pokemon the same potential. Living is suffering if your bro is a so-called shitmon. I'm not saying that a Rattata should be able to blow out Mewtwo, but trainers should be rewarded for the time they spend on their pokemon. This would make the online tournaments so much more fun and reminiscent of the anime in terms of diversity.
And while I'm at it, I hate IVs because I get attached to my Pokemon by the time the main game is over. I just want to wreck shit with my bro, not its 15th generation spawn.
