They just should stop doing this if it's not a sequel (or a really big what if), it's not an acceptable thing to do nowadays.
There was not enough changes in platinum/emerald/crystal to justify the buy if you have already played the previous version.
It's just the fucking definitive version. (thing that shouldn't even exist)
Just make the original game good enough in the first place, for fuck's sake!
