Reptar finally evolved, I had my first failed encounter since the fourth badge when a Houndoom used Roar, and I caught a Mareep and Kingdra in honor of Jigawatt and Daenerys (may they rest in peace) since everything in those areas was dupes. I tried my hand at fishing again in Viridian and OH SHIT IT'S THE GUY ON THE BOX. And I got it in two Dive Balls. Nice.
After all that excitement, Blaine was a total chump. Original Recipe DICKS, not so much. His team was a BIT (read: FUCKTON) stronger than I anticipated, and IceIceBaby missed a Blizzard at the worst possible time and jobbed to an Earthquake from a Donphan 15 levels above her. I don't know what I expected. Fawkes managed to land a Sacred Fire burn while Flying to fuck over his Rollout shenanigans, and the rest of his team went down without nearly as much difficulty, but still. I was not prepared for level 70s yet and I thought for sure IceIceBaby would make it to Redgy. Sad!
