It seems that our loss in the previous gym was simply a precursor for things to come. I think I'm mentally underestimating Diamond because it's easier than Platinum, but forgetting that shit can still happen in an "easy" game. Hopefully that changes now.
Gym battle against Crasher Wake was a breeze at least, Her Majesty Queen Alyza Lyenne II managed to power her way through the whole thing alone. Oneshot his Gyarados with Thunderbolt, got a lucky freeze against his Quagsire (thanks Serene Grace) for the twoshot and tanked a piddly Swift from his Floatzel to oneshot with Thunderbolt. Not quite sure who I want to go for as far as Water types go yet, I'm thinking Lumineon again, but my heart's not really in it after Venus died. I'll probably pick up Surf, catch everything I can and then make a decision.
